Great Stuff to See and Do!
Feel the overwhelming power and strength of the enormous horses
Ban’ei horse racing, which developed from festivals that tested the strength of horses used on farms, is a fascinating form of horse racing unlike any other in the world. Races with tremendous force are held with horses weighing up to about one ton that pull iron sleds while kicking up dust.
Night races are held from April to November. The sight of running horses amidst the mysterious illumination creates a different excitement compared to during the day.
Enjoy plans with plenty of options and local cuisine
There are plans with options to more fully enjoy Ban’ei Tokachi, such as a paddock tour, a training observation tour, visiting the premium lounge, and commemorating a special day by naming a race.
