Great Stuff to See and Do!
A hot spring area featuring the beautiful Japanese scenery of a sandy beach dotted with pine trees
Yumigahama Onsen is located in Minamiizu-cho. Yumigahama Beach is one of Izu’s largest beautiful beaches along with Imaihama Beach and Shirahama Beach. Its white sand stretches for 1,200 meters and the beach was selected as one of Japan’s top 100 beaches. It bustles with people enjoying the water in summer. If you walk a little, you will also come across Cape Irozaki, one of Japan’s top 100 views.
The hot spring water qualities feature sodium calcium chloride much like seawater and is a little salty.

Savor a freshly-caught ise-ebi spiny lobster
This region boasts the highest catch rate for ise-ebi in Shizuoka Prefecture. The Ise-Ebi Festival is held from September to November and you can savor the spiny specialty at ryokan traditional inns and minshuku lodging.
