Soothe yourself in many different baths
Hitoyoshi Onsen consists of hot springs distributed from Itsuka-machi to Onsen-machi in Hitoyoshi City. Over 50 hot spring sources produce gushing waters along the Kuma-gawa River. There are many hot spring ryokan inns dedicated to their baths including hinoki cypress baths, outdoor baths, and stone baths. In addition, many of the city residents use them as a space for relaxing.
Motoyu, a popular public bathhouse for over 80 years
Hitoyosohi Onsen Motoyu was opened in 1934 and features a simple layout consisting of a single bathtub. Time flows openly and warmly.
Be charmed by the nostalgia-inducing decor
Shin Onsen is a public bathhouse opened in 1934 near the ruins of Hitoyoshi Castle. You can enjoy bathing in a simple bath with a historic atmosphere.
There are about 30 friendly and welcoming public bathhouses within Hitoyoshi City. The local people have regularly enjoyed open air baths for centuries. It is known as a bath for soft skin texture.
